in an emergency. We are proud to announce the third generation quick release wildland pack, appropriately
named the Drop & Run Pack. Several tragedies on wildfires motivated us to develop our concept of the quick
release style Wildland Packs. The idea of the Drop & Run pack is to enable firefighters to quickly release the main pack
if an emergency should occur.
According to the USFS Missoula Technology & Development Center, Dropping the main pack enables
firefighters to run up to 20% faster and suffer less fatigue in an escape situation. A
single pull from a handle on the belt of the Drop & Run pack immediately releases the main
pack from the webgear leaving the essentials; Fire Shelter, Water, and Communications.
Re-assembly is straight forward and takes about a minute. Trust nearly 20 years in the
wildland pack industry and do not be fooled by imitators using inferior materials and
building poor quality packs. Be sure you are wearing Eagle Gear when it matters most.
