January 2008- Take advantage of Eagle Gear's new Trade-In Special going on now! Contact
a sales representative to find out how the Trade-In program can help you.
May 30, 2008- After years of design and testing, Eagle Gear is proud to offer a new line of wildland
packs aimed at preventing injury and saving lives by providing a window of opportunity in a burn-over situation.
The idea of the Drop & Run pack is to allow firefighters to quickly release the main pack if an emergency should
occur. Dropping the main pack enables firefighters to run up to 20 percent faster and suffer less fatigue while
attempting to reach a safety zone. A single pull from the release handle on the Drop & Run pack releases the main
pack from the webgear leaving only the essentials; Fire shelter, water, and communications.
For more information about the Drop & Run (Patent Pending) pack by Eagle Gear, contact Steve Wyatt at (800) 695-3245.
June 2008- Eagle Gear has began the process of becoming ISO 9001-2000 Certified and will soon be
submitting our products for testing to insure compliance with NFPA 1977 specifications. While we
have always built packs and gear to meet the highest standards of Cal Fire, the US Forest Service and
the NFPA's guidelines, our products are soon to be third party tested to make it official.
Effective Immediately- If you have a new "large" size fire shelter and are having trouble fitting
it into your Eagle Gear fire shelter holder, we have a solution. Contact a sales representative
to have your shelter holder modified or replaced.
