Eagle Gear Announces the Drop & Run Fireline Pack to Reduce Injury and Save Lives.

Redding, CA May 30, 2008 - After years of design and testing, Eagle Gear is proud to offer a new line of wildland packs aimed at preventing injury and saving lives by providing a window of opportunity in a burn-over situation. The idea of the Drop & Run pack is to allow firefighters to quickly release the main pack if an emergency should occur. Dropping the main pack enables firefighters to run up to 20 percent faster and suffer less fatigue while attempting to reach a safety zone. A single pull from the release handle on the Drop & Run pack releases the main pack from the webgear leaving only the essentials; Fire shelter, water, and communications.
